Our Board & Train packages are tailored to suit your dog's unique requirements. Your dog will reside with us as a valued member of our family, not in a crowded kennel alongside other dogs. Each day, your dog will engage in multiple training sessions, enjoy walks, and have ample playtime on our expansive 10-acre facility.

Understanding that each dog is unique, we avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to training. Drawing from over 100 years of combined experience, we employ contemporary methods that prioritize enhancing the bond between dog and human.

Don't want to send your dog away for training? This is the package for you! This is a “train the trainer” style course in which you will learn the most efficient and progressive methods of canine training. You will receive one-on-one instruction from one of our professional trainers coupled with take home lessons designed specifically for you and your canine partner. You will learn everything you need to know to teach your dog:

Basic Board & Train

This on-leash program is designed for the owner who wants to “jump start” their training program. This course is ideal for puppies or dogs that need a quick introduction to basic commands, leash manners and crate training.

Intermediate Board & Train

Your dog will learn everything in the Basic Program PLUS:

Advanced Board & Train

Does your dog need a complete obedience makeover? Enjoy the best trained dog in town! This package is for the owner that wants total off-leash freedom!

Your dog will learn everything in the Basic and Intermediate package PLUS:

Obedience around a multitude of distractions (on and off leash)
“Come” when called in any environment
Place on command under high distraction with a stay until released
Confidence building for any type of dog
The ability to take your dog anywhere, maximizing the safety and fun of having a dog!
We will also address and eliminate behavior problems such as:
- Jumping on people
- Mouthing/Nipping
- House behavior challenges (barking, destructive behavior, housebreaking issues, etc)
- Separation anxiety
- Bolting through doorways
- Eating inappropriate items or destructive chewing behavior
Field trips to pet friendly locations - pet stores, coffee shops and more!
This package includes a place bed & E-Collar Technologies Training Collar.

What to Expect

Together our team has over 75 years of professional training experience. We have trained over 5,000 dogs and their owners. Our team has developed curriculum and instructed courses for K9 programs such as NYPD, Amtrak, The Walt Disney Company, Federal Protective Services, Capital Police and multiple MLB teams.

We work with all members of the household to ensure a smooth transition back into the home environment. Every board & train package includes private follow-up lessons, written go home instructions and lifetime support. You and your dog are part of the Discovery K9 family!

You will receive video updates to keep up with your dogs progress. Follow us on social media to see behind the scenes footage posted regularly to our stories. You can also call or text your trainer anytime, for any reason

There is no "one size fits all" program. Every program is customized to fit your lifestyle. Before training begins we will work together to develop an individualized training plan for you and your dog. Our 24/7 training experience is unlike any other! We go beyond the basic "sit and stay" and help you achieve a true partnership with you dog!

Canine welfare is our number one priority. Our trainers have completed hands-on first aid training from the nations top military and law enforcement instructors including K9 Medic and Hostile Environment K9 First Aid. Rest assured that our trainers are capable of caring for your pet in an emergency situation until they can receive veterinary care.
